05. BOTTOM - SPIN-OFF UNIVERSIDAD EAFIT
Nanofibers are threads between 100 and 500 nm in diameter, much thinner than a human hair. They are obtained through electrospinning, a technique that transforms polymer solutions into interwoven fibers to create membranes with high surface area and controlled porosity, ideal for specific applications. These properties enable the development of functional textiles, such as fabrics with controlled release of active ingredients or biodegradable and sustainable materials.
